Guidelines

Please follow these rules

Rule #1. Dress Code

Ballet - Pink tights, tank-style bodysuit, skirt (optional), canvas ballet shoes

Jazz - black bodysuit, beige tights, black fitted shorts (optional), beige jazz shoes

Acro - tank style bodysuit, fitted shorts (optional), bare legs or beige stirrup tights

Hip Hop - track pants, sports bra (optional), t-shirt, indoor sneakers

Lyrical/Technique - any colour bodysuit, beige stirrup tights

Tap - any moveable dance wear and tap shoes

Stretch and Strength - fitness attire (shorts, sports bra, bodysuit, shorts)

Rule #2. Hair

Hair must be tied back neatly off the face for all classes and levels. It should not have to be consistently fixed during class or fall into the dancer's face.

Rule #3. Bullying

Treat all classmates with kindness and respect, regardless of their differences. Everyone deserves to feel safe and valued in this classroomNo Name-Calling or Teasing: Avoid making hurtful or mocking comments. Words can hurt, so choose your language carefully and always aim to build others up, not tear them down Physical violence, including hitting, shoving, or any form of aggression, is never acceptable. Hands are for helping, not hurtinglf you witness or experience bullying, report it to a teacher, counselor, or another trusted adult. Speaking up helps stop bullying before it escalates.

Rule #4. Safety First

Jewelry should not be loose or hanging to avoid distractions, accidents, or potential hazardsEarrings, necklaces, and other jewelry should be modest in size. Avoid pieces that dangle, swing, or could get caught on clothing, hair, or other objectsNon-dangly jewelry should not draw unnecessary attention or cause distractions. Choose pieces that are subtle and not overly large or brightly colored.Keep track of your jewelry. PRDA is not responsible for lost or damaged items.
